Skills for Self-Reliance
Beyond subsistence: equipping adults with the technical and business skills to build diverse, resilient livelihoods.
Building Economic Resilience
"Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach him to run a fish farm, and you feed the whole village."

Training Programs
Our curriculum is demand-driven, designed based on the specific economic opportunities available in each district.
Vocational Trades
Practical training in carpentry, masonry, welding, and solar maintenance. These skills are essential for village infrastructure and allow men and women to earn off-farm income.
Value Addition
Teaching farmers to process their raw produce—turning mangoes into dried fruit, groundnuts into peanut butter, or honey into wax products—to capture more value locally.
Financial Literacy (VSLAs)
We establish Village Savings and Loan Associations (Mukando). Members learn to save, budget, and lend to each other to fund school fees or small business start-ups.
Community Governance
Training for local leadership committees (Vidcos/Wadcos) in conflict resolution, project management, and constitution-making to ensure community assets are managed fairly.
How Savings Clubs Work
Save Together
Members contribute small weekly amounts to a central pot.
Borrow & Invest
Members take small loans to buy seeds, tools, or stock for a shop.
Repay with Interest
The fund grows over time, creating a local 'bank' owned by the community.
The Power of "Mukando"
For many rural women, accessing formal banking is impossible. By organizing Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), we unlock local capital.
These groups are not just about money; they are about social cohesion. They act as insurance funds during emergencies and investment vehicles during harvest season.

Support a Training Workshop
It costs just $50 to provide a toolkit for a newly trained carpenter or beekeeper. Help us provide the tools they need to build a future.
